The Gaite District Market

From the Longobard term “watha” meaning “guard”, comes the word “guaita” or “gaita”, which indicates the four districts in which Breragna was divided. The division is documented in the Town Constitution which was revised in the sixteenth century and which arrived to modern days.
The most fascinating and enriching moments which represent the antique town are the town reunions, social life and economic activitie of old Mevania which are based on this text.
